Cookies & Cream Ice Cream
"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!"
I've always liked making homemade ice cream, and a few years ago, I treated myself to a Cuisinart ice cream maker. For years, I'd owned the old-fashioned ice cream maker that required the use of ice and rock salt, so I was immediately intrigued to find this incredible kitchen gadget that churns ice cream in less than 30 minutes (and requires no ice or rock salt)!
During warmer months, you'll find me on most weekends making various ice cream flavors to share with family and friends. While some ice cream recipes can get pretty detailed and require a lot of hands-on or prep time, I am always looking for ways to make them low-maintenance and fun for family involvement.
Today, I'm sharing our no-cook, 5-ingredient Cookies & Cream recipe in honor of our summer recipe share.
That's right! All you need to have on-hand is milk, heavy whipping cream, sugar, vanilla, and Oreo cookies. Get the kids involved by having them crush the cookies, measure the milk, or stir until the sugar is dissolved.
