Amazing Steak Marinade
Happy Sunday Fellow Foodies!
My husband and I spent time working in the yard today. He was super excited about the first grass cut of the season but I was more excited about the start of grilling season. In my opinion, there is nothing better than a flavorful grilled steak. I am looking forward to giving our grill a good work out real soon!
One of my favorite ways to season steaks before grilling them is to marinate them overnight. I am not a huge fan of store bought meat marinades so I am always looking for a fresh marinade to try.
This steak marinade is very robust and aromatic.
Ingredients:
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. olive oil
1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
1/4 c. worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1/2 to 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke (optional)
Directions:
Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.
Enjoy!
